Tom Jodlowski was inducted into the SHSAA Hall of Fame in 2016.
The Distinguished Teacher Award winner is Thomas Jodlowski, SHS Special Education teacher from 1986 to 2011. He was a 1998 Alice Buffett Outstanding Teacher award winner. He received both his BS and MS degrees from UNO. Tom retired in 2011 after 34 years teaching special education for OPS, which included 24 years at South High School. In retirement, Tom serves as St. Stanislaus choir director and helps with its parish festival. He is also on the Polish Home board of directors and serves activities manager. He continues involvement with special education students by coaching the Special Olympics Omaha Bears team. He has received awards from the Food Bank, OPS, and was inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame. Tom said he considers himself a Packer! |
