The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center
Inducted 2015
|
The Community Service Award was given to The The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center at the SHSAA Hall of Fame ceremonies in 2015.
The honors were accepted by Major Todd Thielke, Senior Kroc Center Officer and his wife, Major Catherine Thielke, Officer for Congregational Life. They have been corps officers for 25 years and were assigned to The Salvation Army Community Center in Omaha in July 2010. Their charter is to guide the continued growth and development of the organization and to ensure the continued commitment to achieving its vision and mission. The organization was selected for this honor because of its positive contributions to SHS. Packer teams utilize their gym space, students attended their junior/senior Prom at the Center for the past four years and students have been employed at the Kroc Center. Their state-of-the-art recreational facility has been used by SHS staff and families to improve physical fitness. |
